Master Sgt. David Crawley from the 319th Air Base Wing Inspector General’s office and Members of other base organizations each take turns to render one final salute towards the memorial created in honor of Military Working Dog Aron during a memorial service held May 15, 2014, at the Prairie Rose Chapel on Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D. The Belgian Malinois was humanely euthanized on May 7, 2014, after it was discovered he was dying of cancer. Although Crawley now works for the base Inspector General's office, the bonds he created with his fellow dog-handlers and their four-legged friends is one he cherishes and apprecaites having.
