Vietnamese workers clear a path through dense vegetation to the summit of a mountain where a crew of missing American sailors from the Vietnam War Era was thought to have crashed. Capt. Huy Tran, an officer stationed at Grand Forks AFB, N.D., returned to his birth country of Vietnam this summer for the first time in eight years to help search for and recover missing Vietnam War personnel. In cooperation with the Joint Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Accounting Command, (JPAC), and the Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP), Tran played a vital role as a Vietnamese linguist on a recovery mission to bring home service members missing from the Vietnam War Era.
