Do you need a will or power of attorney? Do you have a question about a personal legal assistance topic? The Air Force Legal Assistance website (https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil/lass/lass.html) is your answer.

The website offers members three main options:

1. Legal Assistance Topics - Handouts containing basic information on a gamut of topics that affect military members such as Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), powers of attorney, voting, and consumer affairs.

2. Legal Worksheets - Online questionnaires to fill out for wills, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney.

3. Feedback Survey - After visiting the Legal Office, members can provide anonymous feedback regarding the services that they received.

This website allows members to conveniently complete a worksheet for drafting a will, advance medical directive and powers of attorney. By completing these worksheets online, members are able to gather all required information and make the important decisions where they are most comfortable, at home. This website will not allow you to print a will or power of attorney but it will provide a ticket number so make sure to write this number down.

Members will need to call the Legal Office at 701-747-3606 to set up an appointment to have their will prepared and executed. When making an appointment, make sure you provide your ticket number. By providing this ticket number, you can drastically reduce your appointment time. If you have drafted a power of attorney, you can stop by the Legal Office with your ticket number from 0800 to 1300 Monday thru Thursday to have it printed and notarized.

While the website increases convenience for members, please note the following:

- Information provided on the site is for educational and informational purposes only. Members should not solely rely on the website when making decisions and it cannot replace consultation with an attorney.

- Members will not have the ability to print their will, advance medical directive or powers of attorney from the website. Once the ticket number is provided, the Legal Office staff will be able to obtain the documents from the website.

If you have any questions about the Air Force Legal Assistance website or the services that are provided at the Legal Office, please call 701-747-3606 and we will be happy to answer any questions.
