COLONEL TIMOTHY J. CURRY

Colonel Timothy J. Curry is the Vice Commander of the 319th Reconnaissance Wing, Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. As the Vice Commander, Colonel Curry is responsible for organizing, training and equipping over 2,500 Airmen to fly and support the U.S. Air Force’s worldwide fleet of RQ-4 Global Hawk aircraft. He supports the U.S Air Force’s sole Global Hawk wing comprised of three groups, 14 squadrons, and three detachments, executing a budget of $70 million, and employing aircraft, equipment and facilities valued at $5 billion. He also enables strategic command and control through the High Frequency Global Communication System (HFGCS), and provides base support to the Department of Homeland Security, public-private partners, and three geographically separated detachments.

Colonel Curry received his commission from The United States Air Force Academy in 1999. He has served in various positions on the Air Force Headquarter and Central Command Staff, most recently as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Colonel Curry commanded a dual mission MQ-1B and MQ-9 squadron. He has over 2,300 flight hours in various aircraft including the F-16, MQ-1B, MQ-9, RQ-170 and the RQ-4. Colonel Curry has global combat experience in each major weapon system.
