The Health Promotion Office here is scheduled to host a free eight-week fitness competition beginning March 7, 2016.

According to Denae Grove, 319th Air Base Wing health promotion coordinator, "Soar Into Shape" is a self-paced, team building competition that aims to help Warriors of the North reach their fitness goals.

People can register by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/soarintoshape.

Grove said competitors gain points by attending healthy lifestyle classes, group exercise classes and meeting their personal and team goals. She said there will be incentive prizes awarded throughout the program as well as grand prizes for the top three teams and individuals.

Orientation classes are scheduled for March 1 and 2 at noon in the Fitness Center Gymnasium 1. Grove would like competitors to be registered before the orientation.

Grove feels that this competition is great for any level of fitness history and wants people to work to reach their goals.

"Everything is tailored for people to go at their own pace," said Grove. "We are here to help people reach their goals."
