The base fire department is hosting an open house Saturday, Oct. 12, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event will include a free pancake breakfast, station tour, bouncy house, kids' firefighter challenge, fire safety trailer, fire extinguisher training and Sparky.

1:30 p.m.: Proclamation Signing - Wing commander's office with Sparky
Sunday, Oct. 6
1 - 2:30 p.m.: Base Housing Parade - Fire truck parade through base housing with Sparky
Monday, Oct. 7
9 - 11 a.m.: Sparky visit, fire truck display at Child Development Center
Tuesday, Oct. 8
8:45 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Sparky visit, fire truck display at Twining School
Wednesday, Oct. 9
10:30 - 11:30 a.m.: Story time at Community Activity Center - Fire truck display and Sparky visit to follow story time
3 - 5:30p.m.: Fire prevention display at Youth Center - Fire safety trailer, hose house and fire truck display
Thursday, Oct. 10
1 - 3p.m.: Commander's firefighter challenge - Challenge held in field house of base gym
