Senior Airman Jordan Baughman, 319th Operations Support Squadron weather flight forecaster, was named Air Mobility Command’s Weather Airman of the Year Nov. 10, here.

Baughman said through his education and prior experience in the career field he developed a passion for the work he does.

“The highest award you can get is doing your job correctly,” said Baughman.

Tech. Sgt. Christopher Ford, 319th OSS weather flight NCO in charge, said Baughman has been a key member of the team.

“He is really doing a great job,” said Ford. “I just put his actions to paper.”

Baughman said he also credits his accomplishment to his family who supported him and his leadership who put him in a position to exceed expectations.

“I’m thankful for the friends and family who support me,” said Baughman. “Especially my wife, Nicole, who was willing to follow me halfway across the continent to the frozen North.”

Col. Jeremy Thiel, 319th Air Base Wing vice commander, congratulated Baughman on a job well done and for representing Grand Forks Air Force Base.

“Baughman epitomizes excellence in all we do, and I am proud to have him on our team,” said Thiel.
